The design of this cotton T-shirt is based on the graphic depiction of the melody line in one of Arvo Pärt’s first tintinnabuli-works from 1976, In spe (Latin for ‘In the Hope’). The melodic voice moves around the main pitch, once up, then down. Pärt himself has compared this to temperature fluctuations around 0 degrees and has jokingly called it thermometer music.
